Snakes being burnt is quite a serious medical issue.  If the burns are over most of the snakes body, it is best to get the snake to a vet as soon as possible.

If it is a small area that has been burnt through the snakes skin you can clean out the wound with savlon water mixture.  It is advisable to buy the F10 cream for wounds which you must apply daily until the wound has healed.

If your snake encounters a burn, remove it from the enclosure and treat it as mentioned above.

Remove all the substrate from the enclosure and thoroughly disinfect the enclosure and use newspaper as a substrate for now.

DO NOT use paper towel, corn cob, shavings or any other rough substrate as this will cause further damage on the wound area.

FIND OUT WHY THE SNAKE GOT BURNT IN THE FIST PLACE AND RECTIFY THE SITUATION.  THERE SHOULD ALWAYS BE A PROTECTIVE BARRIER BETWEEN THE SNAKE AND A FLOOR HEAT PAD.

The wound will heal more and more and look better with every shed.  Keep an eye on it and keep treating it with F10 cream.
