Snakes will generally defecate (poop) after a meal.  They retain their waste for some time until the next digestive cycle occurs.

 

If your snake has not pooped after several meals and the tail end looks bulky, it may be that your snake is constipated.  One easy method to solve this problem is to "swim" your snake.  Place the snake in deep water for about 20 minutes.  Submerging it in water stimulates bowel movement.

 

If this method does not work, you may want to get your snake tot he vet as soon as possible.
