My name is Tyron Terblanche and I found my passion for snakes when I was 9 years old watching my first Austin Stephens documentary.  It was at this point I knew I would pursue the dream of having my own reptile breeding facility and produce quality animals that rival that of other breeders.

That same year I purchased my first snake from Panorama pet shop.  It was a normal corn snake and the one turned into 2, then 3 and then I went into a phase where I would collect any and all snakes I was able to get on permit, from anacondas, skaapstekers, night adders, various rat snakes and many more. 

Eventually 10 years later, I decided I needed to specialize in a specific species. 

I chose corn snakes due to their wonderful nature and temperament, making them easy beginner snakes.  Once I realized that they are available in the most beautiful colours and patterns, I started researching their genetic combinations and which genes to splice to create specific colours and patterns.  I started producing morphs that included blizzard, albino, anery, charcoal, lavender, bloodred, mandarin, ghost, stripe and motley. 

Always striving to produce high quality animals, I started importing more snakes and grew my collection to a large variety of morphs in many different species of colubrids.

Services

Tyron's Corns and Colubrids specialize in giving constructive advice accumulated from reliable sources, mentors and of course personal experience.  Breeding snakes on a large scale for the past 5 years has exposed me to many learning curves and challenges.  I can advise you on how to prevent beginner mistakes. 

I also build custom enclosures, live vivariums and racking systems for snakes and other reptiles.  Should you be interested do not hesitat to contact us for a quote. 

If you are not yet confident to sex your snake, I offer a probing service and will also teach you how if required.  I also have incubation service, whereby I would incubate reptile eggs on behalf of their owners whom do not have the facilities to do so themselves.
